Castorano, the heart of the Piceno

In central Italy, in that area between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea, the Marche region is rich in historical-cultural and landscape treasures, the result of a thousand-year history and a predominantly hilly territory that extends over a short patch of land , from the mountains to the sea.

The cultural heritage of the region is preserved in small towns of great historical value. Like Ascoli Piceno, with its enchanting Piazza del Popolo. Urbino, one of the capitals of the Italian Renaissance. Macerata, with the eighteenth-century Sferisterio arena among the most important stages of international opera, Recanati, birthplace of the poet Leopardi, as well as a multitude of small medieval villages nestled among the hills that characterize the landscape of the region.

A corner of Italy, where it is still possible to breathe an authentic atmosphere and savor dishes rich in tradition. Regional food and wine reflects the plurality of the territory with a great variety of excellent products. From the pork butchery with the famous Ciauscolo and farmyard meats, from fish with Brodetto and Moscioli del Conero to Ascolana olives, true icons of the Marche region in the world.
